We successfully concluded the installation of a solar PV and battery system in the heart of Central London. The flat roof of the property features 10 Canadian Solar panels strategically arranged in small groups and installed at various orientations to maximise sunlight exposure throughout the day.
Opting for a SolarEdge optimised solar system is driven by a comprehensive evaluation of factors geared toward optimising the efficiency and overall performance of the solar installation. The individualised operation of each panel, ensured by the optimizers, means that shading on one panel does not compromise the performance of others.
To ensure the panels' stability without the need for roof fixings or subsequent penetrations, we utilised a ballast-weighted mounting system. This innovative approach not only eliminates the need for additional structural modifications but also allows for the potential relocation of the solar PV system in the future, facilitating any necessary roof maintenance.
Every client receives a customised app for their solar system, offering real-time data accessibility. User-friendly graphs and diagrams present valuable insights, a feature that our clients particularly appreciate. On sunny days, the joy of witnessing free energy generation, whether charging their battery or exporting surplus power to the hot water cylinder, is a source of satisfaction.
Within the app, various images, including a specific graph, showcase the client's electricity consumption from the grid. Since the installation, a noticeable reduction in grid dependency is evident, resulting in substantial savings of hundreds of pounds on their electricity bills.
This graphical depiction vividly highlights the concrete effects of their solar investment. The client graciously provided their energy data, showcasing a notable decrease in electricity consumption from the installation in April to the conclusion of July.
